Patients searching for counselling in her area were finding less experienced therapists simply because they had better SEO, even on PRACTO. Her vast knowledge, which she wanted to share, was reaching no one. She was an expert who couldn’t be found. 

The Strategy: "Accessibility & Trust"

For a Psychologist, the client journey isn’t transactional; it’s emotional. I focused on removing barriers between her and those seeking help.

Owning "Local Discovery" (Google Business Optimisation)

I identified that for therapy, the decision-making process happens on Google Maps. 

ACTION

I completely optimised her Google Business Profile (GBP). I ensured her clinic appeared for high-intent keywords (e.g., “Counselling Psychologist near me,” “Anxiety Therapy,” “Teen Counselling”). I turned Google into her primary reception desk. 

Ethical Social Proof (The Review Campaign)

In psychology, a blank profile looks risky. Patients need to know they are in safe hands. 

ACTION

I orchestrated a sensitive, compliance-friendly campaign to solicit honest feedback from past clients. I didn’t ask for marketing fluff; I asked them to share their care experience. 

THE RESULT

I helped build a wall of social proof: 60+ genuine reviews with a 4.9-star average. This instantly validated her 20 years of experience to anyone searching for her. 

Offline-to-Online Thought Leadership

She was a regular speaker at colleges and mental health institutions, but that authority lived and died in the room.

ACTION

I integrated her offline advocacy into her digital brand. I highlighted these sessions as “Community Initiatives,” positioning her not just as a clinician, but as a Mental Health Educator.

The Constraint

The strategy had to be executed within the strict ethical boundaries of the RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India). We needed to build visibility without crossing into commercial solicitation or making non-compliant claims.
